IN THE NAME OF JESUS MINISTRIES
- Believes the Bible is the ultimate authority and source for our statement
of faith, ministry and conduct.
- Believes the Bible is God’s inspired human record of God’s
self-disclosure, and observations of human experience of God’s revelation.
2 Timothy 3:16.
- Believes in one eternally existing God in three persons: The Father, the
Son, and the Holy Spirit. God is a Trinity, equal in every way, harmonious
in nature, purpose and person. Matthew 3:16-17; John 10:30; Ephesians 4:4-6.
- Believes that Jesus Christ, fully God and fully human came into this
world, to live a sinless life and offered Himself as a perfect sacrifice for
the sins of the whole human race, for whom He died on the cross. He rose from
the dead after three days, overcoming sin and death. He ascended to Heaven
and will return again someday in power and glory to establish His Kingdom on
earth. Matthew 1:22,23; John 1:1-5; 1Corinthians 15:3-4;
Philippians 2:5-11; Colossians 1:15-18.
- Believes that Jesus Christ proclaimed the Kingdom of God, by preaching the
good news to the poor, releasing the captives from Satan, healing the sick,
casting out demons, and sending out disciples to do likewise. Luke 4:18, 43;
Matthew 10:7-8; 28:18-20.
SALVATION
- Believes that salvation comes through repentance of sin and faith in the
Lord Jesus Christ. All that believe in Him are justified and saved from
eternal damnation. John 10:28-29; 14:6; Romans 5:1,8; 6:23; 10:9-13; Galatians 3:26; Ephesians 2:8-9;
Titus 3:5-7.
HOLY SPIRIT
- Believes in the ministry of the Holy Spirit who is present in the world to
convict humankind of sin and draw them to Jesus Christ; to provide
Christians with understandings of spiritual truth, divine counseling and
guidance. John 16:7-13; Acts1:8; 1Corinthians 2:12; 3:16; Romans 8:9;
Ephesians 1:13; 5:8; Galatians 5:25.
RESURRECTION
- Believes in the resurrection of the saved and the unsaved. The saved to
live eternally in the presence of God, the unsaved to live eternally
separated from God. John 3:16; Romans 6:23;
1Corinthians 15:51-57; 1John
5:11-13; Revelation 20:11-15.
CHURCH
- Believes in the spiritual unity of all believers in the Lord Jesus Christ,
and that all are members of His body, the Church. 1Corinthians 12;12,27; Ephesians 1:22-23; 1Peter 3:5.
EVANGELIZATION
- Believes in the ministry of harvest evangelism, which is part of the
great commission
given by the Lord Jesus Christ to every Christian. Matthew
28:18-20; Mark 16:15,16; Acts 1:8.
EQUIPPING
BELIEVERS
- Believes in equipping Christians for ministry. Promoting
training for Christians on how to minister like Jesus; having a burden for the lost, the poor and the
sick; how to become a "servant" in the Kingdom of God; helping improve the conditions of life and the spiritual life of the
people they meet; how to minister to others as if ministering to Jesus Christ
himself; how to equip others to do likewise. Matthew 25:40-42; 26:10-11; Luke
9:11,18-34; 10:8-9; John 13:12-17; Acts 17:16; Romans 15:1-3
SOCIAL
MINISTRY
-
Believes in the benevolence ministry,
which provides humanitarian relief to improve the conditions of life of
the poor, the sick, the afflicted, the oppressed and the dispossessed.
